How RIPlister volunteers can be useful?

Mutual assistance and support of others is the main mission of our volunteers. Enthusiasts help people find graves of relatives, expand the site's database, and digitize information from burials. 

The superpower of our volunteers 

A person who decides to become a volunteer makes a great contribution to the development of the site and to the development of the future. It may sound too loud, but it is true. A volunteer is not just a person walking around a cemetery with a camera. For us, a volunteer is a person who creates a database for future generations. 

Imagine how many years from now, a 19-year-old student will be looking for his great-grandfather to learn more about the family. Maybe at first he thinks he is an orphan and living alone in this world, but then he finds his ancestor in our database and gets a family. 

And someone simply cannot come to the grave of a relative due to lack of opportunity or huge distances. But thanks to the fact that the burial is in the database of the site, a person can put a candle or simply write pleasant words about the deceased. 

That is why we say that RIPlister volunteers help create the future. 

What does a volunteer need?

You need to come to the cemetery in daylight and take a photo of the burial. It doesn't have to be someone you know. Take a picture of the plate with the dates of birth and death, add a photo of the epitaph. 

Be sure to turn on geolocation in the phone settings so that you can later determine the location of the burial. Also, do not forget to make a general plan so that you can find the grave by appearance and a landmark nearby, not only by coordinates. 

Reward for volunteering 

We decided to encourage volunteers desire to help. For each photo of a burial, the volunteer receives a coin of the site - RIPcoin.

This coin can be used to pay for site services. Exchange accumulated RIPcoins for additional space to store more photos and videos, set virtual candles or flowers on the memorial page. The term of ownership of RIPcoin is unlimited.
